Bitcoin to gold ounces: units and dealer premiums

Gold is commonly quoted per troy ounce. This is a different unit from an ordinary ounce, so a weight conversion must identify the unit used by the quote.

A benchmark gold price and the price of physical bullion differ. Dealer premiums, purity, bar size, delivery and storage can all affect a purchase budget. Use a quote for the product you actually intend to buy.
